In this publication, Sensei Hayama, a world-renowned animator and character designer, demonstrates his remarkable technical prowess through 128 pages of original drawings, showcasing his illustration techniques using the Fude-Pen, a tool that gives his illustrations the distinctive style for which he is internationally recognized. The book features classic Japanese animation characters (Mazinger, Grendizer, Jeeg, Devilman, Saint Seiya, Gaijin, etc.), with an initial section dedicated to "Fist of the North Star," an anime for which the Master served as animation director for the second season. The Master dazzles his fans with A4-sized drawings, accompanied by captions that illustrate his experience as an illustrator and animator, along with his youthful memories of that particular character, providing fans with previously unseen gems and extraordinary information. Together with the illustrations, this makes this a must-have release for all manga and anime fans. The publication also features illustrations dedicated to classic tokusatsu characters, such as Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Godzilla. The Italian edition that Nippon Shock Edizioni presents for the Italian market is the first outside of Japan with the same format, pagination, and layout as the original. The album was supervised by Genkosha and fulfilled all the credits relating to the characters illustrated by Master Animator and Character Designer JUNICHI HAYAMA. Born in 1965 in Nagano Prefecture, he joined Onion Production after graduating high school. In 1984, he made his debut as an inbetweener in the series “Gu Gu Ganmo” (unpublished in Italy). In 1985, he was responsible for the key drawings in the series “Hai Step Jun” (broadcast in Italy under the title “Juny peperina inventatutto”). In 1987, for the first time in his career, he served as animation director on the series “Hokuto no Ken” (broadcast in Italy as “Fist of the North Star”). In 1989, he debuted as a character designer on the series “Be-Bop Highschool.” Between 1993 and 2002, he worked as character designer and animation director on the series “JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.” His most recent collaborations include titles such as Tiger Mask W, Drifters, and Golden Kamuy.
