Facing Dogūn, Jin, a Haniwatt Furu warrior from Kagutsuchi, suffered a complete defeat. To break the stalemate, Yayoi Oguna summoned Rin Funato, a Haniwatt warrior from Magatsutsuchi, to Nagano. Together with the priestess Yuri, recalled from the hospital where Jin was hospitalized in serious condition, and priests from the Togakushi shrine, they began preparations for the second clash against Dogūn... The style of Kenzi Taketomi (who is a renowned artist in his homeland) is not modern and does not conform to current stylistic features. Taketomi is a master with a very personal style, sharp, imprecise but effective, much closer to the great masters of the late 1960s and 1970s like Nagai, Ishimori, and Yokoyama. And Ancient Warrior HANIWATT (which Sensei Taketomi had already created in embryonic form while he was still a schoolboy) is deeply inspired by the classic screenplays of these great masters, with contemporary solutions that make the story fascinating and enthralling. It will leave you breathless from the first page to the last.
